Monkey Business

Emerson and Kingston, how cute are they?!
We met friends for a spontaneous date at the Sunset Zoo, it was a gorgeous day for it! I am embarrassed to say Kingston has never been to the zoo and it has probably been 4 years since I have been. A whole lot of ground to cover without a whole lot of animals, think we should be good for another 4 years.

GNO

Kenzie at prom, I feel like she was just a little girl, beautiful!!

 Kenzie and David
another spontaneous girls night out to watch the promenade at the mall, I was very thankful to be bringing our girls home and not sending them on to prom

who doesn't fit in, these crazy moms?!!
We ran into Sam!! Wow, did she look gorgeous, have only seen her sweating it up in a leotard at practice.
what a perfect night for prom, the girls loved looking at the dresses and hair, did there share of practicing afterward.

Hostess with the mostess

My sister is awesome, if only we could recruit her to Kansas, she is one of the most creative, fun, organized people I know!
She was our best cheerleader, seeing us at several spots and documenting/scrapbooking the whole thing. She met me at mile 19, a rough one and snapped a shot of my dad running with me for a bit.
and joined me at the finish, also sacrificing a parking ticket along one of the marathon stops.
her trio, another one of my favorites, I don't get to see enough, Henry didn't even get my name right by the end of the trip!
and Stellie, I bought her hideous Hello Kitty stuff, took her on a bike ride, colored with her, played soccer, and she continued to ask for Angie during our stay!
one of the scrapbook pages she made
Jess hooked Tia and I up at this spa, these people knew how to rub, wow was it needed!

One & Done, Salt Lake City Marathon 2013

Phillippians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me

One of the most emotional things I have ever done, but so glad I did it, thanks to my two older sisters for talking me into it, and for the younger smart one for being our best cheerleader.
Not sure if the rain in the forecast was more of a distraction or the Boston marathon bombing all over the news. We prepared ourselves with trash bags to keep us dry pre-race, here is Tia trying them on for size.
The first person I recognized when I finished bachelor Jef Holm, a Salt Lake Celebrity, super nice congratulating me, we were both marathon virgins.

they handed out these dry fit Run for Boston shirts, I was excited about this one

Loved seeing my high school bestie Michele, she ran the half with my dad, love this girl.
Kenzie, Jess and I at the finish at 4:09 when a group of Boston marathoners planned to finish, (time of the bombing in Boston 5 days before). This was a tearjerker, but you couldn't tell through all the rain!!

pre-race pic
and after.. Cold and wet, but so worth it!
Headed to hotel after, for the best hot showers ever, I hope I look this good when Im 43, good job Ang!
me and my dad after our practice run on Thursday before the race, this 64 year old ran a half in a little over 2 hours, he is amazing as well.

Cheers to Tia's 40th, we wouldn't have signed up for this without your strong willed self!

Covered Wagon

I put Trav and Xander in charge of making his covered wagon, talk about pressure when the letter home says parents are supposed to help:) The only stipulation is you could not use legos. Xander wanted to use a shoe for the wagon, ok, well lets just say you have to use your imagination with this one.
Cole lent us the baseball player and Zekas the horses.
Time spent minimal, money 0.00, laughs A LOT! Bring on the Westward movement, although I don't think there is going to be much moving for baseballs as wheels.

Kingston got to give Stubby the calf his bottle this morning, he was more than excited to put on his boot and head to the farm this morning. Thank you Grandpa & Grandma!

Lord, I need you

Already just a wee bit anxious about my first marathon in a few days, and the tragic events at the Boston marathon today don't help the anxiety for sure. Prayers that people in Boston and all over will come together and God's grace and peace would carry the families effected and me to the finish line:) xoxo

I love our costumes and songs this year, both jazz and ballet

what happened to our little ballerinas?

Spin City

My parents came in town for a day and a half for my kiddos birthday and Easter and unfortunately I had to work the weekend. We decided in lieu of gifts they would take the kids to Spin City to skate.

I wasn't expecting Trav to take Kingston, but he loved it!  I think being littler may be an advantage, he was very independent, danced and even did the limbo.
I heard Jude clinged to the wall at the beginning.
My mom is not athletic, but she is a skier, a skater and a hula hooper, so this was right up her alley.
I grew up going to the skating rink on the weekends, Im sad Manhattan doesn't have one. Unfortunately driving to Junction, would be breaking my 5 min rule to get anywhere we go.
