110%

I don't know if it is the age or the kid, but Jude has been amazing lately, giving 110% to everything he does.
Or maybe it is because Kingston has been such a handful, it makes Jude seem all the better.
On Saturday, he played I think his first real soccer game and was so hoping he was going to get to play goalie, he hadn't gotten to play this position yet in his scrimmages..
He played his little heart out, diving for every ball and lets just say our team was beat by  several goals, but he stopped several.
Jude got to stay in as goalie & played the whole game & then came home & practiced after when we got home. This is the same kid that was playing with the flags & in the net not too long ago.

He practices piano, reads, wants to learn his math facts, practice baseball & soccer all in a day. Best of all, he makes me laugh, when I've wanted to cry at least 6x a day with my 3 year old.

Gym Plus Banquet 2014

So fun to see them out of leos, looking so pretty! I am thankful for each of them & that Roe has got to grow with them not just in size but in strength both physically & emotionally over the last few years. Only hope that she will be a positive mentor to the younger girls coming up as the older girls have been to her.
Jeryka gave them this pic at the banquet, so serious & so out of character for them for the most part;)
Roe earned the Cool, Calm & Collected award this year, so appropriate I thought. I think she is learning it from her coach:)
Nikkole, the level 4 coach, hand painted pics on canvas for the girls that took 1st at state, thought Roe's bar pic turned out awesome!
Now this is more like it.
Made this Mexican Bean Salad, a little bit more chopping than I like, but it was good & even better with chips!

I can no longer keep up jogging with my kids on bikes, helps to have Strudel pulling me!
They have all outgrown there hand me down bikes from Cole, Kenzie, & Mason, think I know where their birthday money is going.

Scrambling for Eggs

I had to work Easter weekend, so I missed out on church and the best annual egg hunt on the farm. This little bugger is the one I really missed.
3 1/2 already, and full of it! He loves the farm & it was a perfect day for a hunt.
Thankfully Trav took some good pics so  I could relive the experience;)
No new outfits this year, but they are still cute, I may be a little biased:)
Trav took some bad pics too, I had to include, we need to work on angles.
 Never too old to hunt.
Lots of nooks & crannies to hide eggs in here.
Kingston is over the picture taking in this one, I think.

 I like these peeps

Really Trav?

Eggsciting Times

We had fun dying easter eggs this year, but our house was very stinky.
Monroe liked her m&m's & smurf the best.
We tried out this from bhg using food dye & vinegar to color eggs, we will do this again, fun & bright tie dye eggs.

Peeps sitting on white chocolate pretzels with sprinkles, King ate the peep and I ate the pretzels, we were a pretty good team.
So these asian noodle peanut butter chocolate nests turned out!! My phone pics are not good, but the first ones tasted good..
I went to shower and came back to 30 nests gone & 6 remaining, it turns out dogs can eat chocolate. At least ours does, he didn't like the robins eggs as much.

Some friends started a tradition of Egging this year, the kids loved this and Jude was convinced we were going to be arrested.
The eggers, Kingston thinks its Halloween, we have way too much candy.
Thanks for asking us to join you Sieberts, fun times!

We ended the night with a flashlight egg hunt, now that is a good picture;)

Living Museum & Surviving 6th Grade

Xander was invited to go to Worlds of Fun on opening day, I think these boys had a blast! They have been working hard and deserved the break. He recently told me that his teacher told them they need to shower everyday, put on deodorant and cologne because they stink, I believe it.
6th grade has been busy! Within a week students had to decide on people from Ancient Civilizations to dress up as for the Living Museum. Then they came to life at school and were encouraged to memorize scripts, while all of the classes visited their country. Grant & Xander representing Judea as Jesus & the apostle Peter.

 Xander trying out the costume
I love that he doesn't freak out about projects, assignments & happenings, takes it all in stride and does a pretty good job, hope this continues...
 cute girls representing Egypt

And then there was a castle to be built… Can't spend more than 5.oo but can take you 5 hours for all the parts that blew away on the way to school.
I am so proud of him and excited to see what middle school brings, can only pray he will continue to make good choices. Also that he has some impact on the little airplane dude, because his choices have not been so good these days.

Take me out to the ball game...

Jude has been very into March Madness and who is versing who, the K State vs KU baseball game was a perfect fit for his birthday party.
This makes me thankful to live in a college town where we can attend sporting events easily and the fans are tolerable of these crazy little dudes.
 Cute group

It was a quick game and we ended up losing 2 to 1. These boys were into the game and probably the loudest fans, standing on their seats by the end of the game.
Some leaders emerged in this group very quickly, calling a group huddle on a game plan to win.

They needed to burn off some energy after the game, we should have walked home.
Finished the game and got to run the bases

We switched sports at home and finished with knockout.

Not quite as fancy party favors, but I did love the florescent softer baseballs.
Jude is sad his party is over, I can't really say I feel the same.
