Go cats

Future ballplayer, this kid has an arm like no other, says baseball bat clearly and will seriously watch baseball on tv, who does that?

Cultured

I had to spotlight Tindalls, happy 5yrs of marital bliss today, thanks Michelle for making me smile a lot last night, Josh W. this shot of you chattin with the girls is classic, and Korey, I love your passion and prep for the party. Did I mention Walkers basement is magnifico and their theater competes with Seth Childs?

We took on several countries Friday night and prepared a food & drink from around the world with friends. Some highlights I wasn't able to capture b/c I don't have a fancy fastspeed camera like my friends, several girls doing the splits, Josh S. sportin saggy baggies and a helmet dancing around, Taira reinacting flashdance chair show and proceeding to fall backwards on tile, hey guys if you want to send me these be glad to post. Thanks Walkers!!

What happens while mommy's at work

Trav walks in, I walk out, and btw Im not sure what to fix for dinner, the kids need baths, pick up for new babysitter tomorrow, put kids to bed, tell the new babysitter in the am where everything is and what to do. In addition to these orders, Trav braves it to purple power play with all three and comes home with these punks, and snaps a few shots as well, I think I've trained him well. Is it bad that part of me wants him to say oh the kids were horrible, I couldn't do this, this or this, you really need to stay home, but nope he pulls it off and makes my mom job look easy.

What you learn in 1st grade, week 2...

Xander was so excited after school yesterday about what he had learned. He has not been the best about sharing about his day, so I was thrilled about his offer. He proceeds to tell me, "So mom, NEVER go in to the bathroom, turn the lights out and turn around 3X or Bloody Mary will appear in the mirror." What exactly am I supposed to say to this? I want there to be open communication between the two of us, I want him to be able to tell me everything, but then again maybe I don't. Yikes!

Tears were shed

After leaving the waterpark yesterday afternoon and Utah, my kids were hysterically crying, and Im not talking about Jude, "we don't want to leave". Doesn't this sound like a great way to start a 1000mi road trip home.
thanks to PB&J for being great hosts, Jess for being the great event planner and Prest for the tasty homemade icecream
thanks to the lovely Sauk ladies for joining us on many events

We've been home only a few hours and Im already having mtn and cafe rio withdrawl.

Channel 5 news with Aysha and Xander

Moose crash story, this is pretty funny. I love that Aysha starts and then lets Xander get a few words in before finishing the story for him, I think I am so guilty of this.

Rainbow X 3

We drove up the canyon last night for some tinfoil dinner action and were a bit nervous with a storm cloud overhead. After setting up camp and a successful fire, it started to lightning (maybe one strike) and thunder so back to the burb we went. After 15min of car entertainment, we have gotten pretty good at this, 1 then 2 then 3 rainbows appeared. It is hard to tell from the pics, but they were pretty incredible, more pics from the tasty dinner to come.

Family pic, not so much

Jess was kind enough to attempt a family pic before church, it is kind of a joke, we will keep trying.

Twins?

We went to the water park last evening and someone asked if Jude & James were twins, nope cousins. Despite their 10month age gap, they do have some striking similarities; both thumb suckers, bright white skin with bright red hair, excema, pincher's & scratchers. James has the biggest blue eyes and his legs are tree trunks in comparison to Judes dark hazel eyes with long bird legs.

Utah bound

We pulled an all niter and drove to Utah Friday after Xander's big performance, more on that later, 15h later we arrived at Pond Ponderings. Call me crazy, but I kind of love the nite driving, I get to listen to my husband sing like he is in highschool again to Guns and Roses and love the reflection and deep conversations that long road trips induce. I am so in love with the mountains here and the dry heat, a lot like Kansas. Most families have at least 6 kids here so there is a tremendous amount of kidfriendly things to do. Jess has an agenda for us, each day filled with activities and great food of course, stay tuned...
