let them lead the way

Occasionally I feel like kids can be great role models for us. My favorite is to watch kids who are complete strangers play together at the park as if they have been long time friends. At children's church today, Xander & Roe both made an Ark.(Roe made hers out of graham crackers, it must of had an impact). After reading over Xander's ark, I was thinking maybe some adults could gain a lot from childrens church, possibly me perhaps. The icing on the cake is that my kids played awesome together today, no fighting over who was going to open the door or get the purple bowl.I even got a "thank you for this dinner" from Roe, WOW, it was a great day!

Da Da

Trav will occasionally mention we are done with 3. How can you resist not having more when you create a sweet face like this?

Date Nite

We totally have a date tonite, I am super excited. Trav's manager is in town with his wife and treating us to Harry's, Roe will not be attending she just wanted to be photographed, of course. You can find my cute skirt for $10 at Wet Seal, Trav saw this and asked if I could paint my legs tan, Jen can you hook me up with a little photoshop?

Ready for Halloween

Halloween is the best, costumes are seriously the gift that keeps on giving all year round at our house. My kiddos love to dress up, 2 nite we are featuring a pirate and a princess of course.

Not so much for a natural disaster

this is kind of a joke, b/c anyone who reads my sisters blog (Pond Ponderings) would see that I think her cans of cream of mushroom soup alone outnumber my total number of canned goods. Hopefully my neighbors are stocked up b/c Im certainly not.

The race is on

The kids participated in their first race on Saturday. We planned to run the 1/4 mile but took a wrong turn and completed a 1/2 mile, Good job runners!

On the move

Our little Jude Dude is on the move, he hasn't mastered crawling but he has got the rolling and army scoot down.

Dancing Queen

We went to Jeff & Aubrey's wedding reception Friday nite and the highlight was watching Roe's moves. I felt like dancing was almost therapuetic for her and she definitely was not afraid to express herself. Xander fell asleep in the chair waiting for his favorite song "Had a bad day" to play.

Purse dilemma

After discovering that I slaved over the fruit pizza and it wasn't our snack day, I decided to partake in something Im a lot better at, SHOPPING. I have had the same purse for a year and a half and it is embedded with lots of kids snacks, lipglosses and other motherly things, so I bought two. I also love to change my mind and take things back, so which do I keep?

Star Student

Xander was ecstatic he was chosen as star student today. He got to sit in Mrs.Kulbiski's chair and tell everyone his favorite place to eat (Planet Sub).He wore his crown most of the evening even to help me make the fruit pizza for his class snack tomorrow. I definitely didn't feel like a star making it (that is another blog). Cute moment from the star student this week was when he told me, "My heart is hungry for chicken nuggets".

Hey ju ju bean

Popcorn, pinatas and more...

We had a great time celebrating our friends birthdays. They rented a moonwalk and a popcorn popper, does it get any better than that? Xander didn't mind he was the only boy, I think he would actually prefer that.

Party Babes

Happy Birthday Madeline & Claire!

Sleeping Beauty... or Beast

We went to our friends house for a little playdate, which is not a good combo when you are 3, and its 5:00 at night, and you have not had a nap. When it was time to leave, Roe had on Claire & Madeline's princess dress and stated, "But I need to sing my song first". After ample opportunity was given to her to sing her song Ms.Taira generously offered to let Roe wear the dress home. A few minutes after she was buckled in her car seat, she fell asleep for the dreaded 5:30pm nap.

All smiles

I don't think Jude enjoys the spotlight. We attempted pics of the kids tonite, and he would not crack a smile. Of course, when we got home he was grinning ear to ear.

Learning to sit

Jude is learning to sit without his bumbo seat, within a few seconds he starts some serious leaning and then crash.

Sweet slumber

Sleeping soundly after bath with "Towers" and his taggie book

Poopy pants

My babe has some serious diaper rash, so I was attempting to air out his bum for a bit. After a few minutes of alone time, I heard an excited squeal. He was lying in a big pasty poop and happy about it. We headed straight for the bath, you would think I would learn.

Preschool Princess

Circle time with Mrs.Bahner. Mrs.Grogan & "Monroe" pictured at right.
Roe had her first day of preschool today, she informed me on the way she wanted her teachers to call her "Monroe", where did that come from?
