Golf campers

Xander's first day of golf camp, he asks me if there is going to be a campfire?

Im not so sure which he prefers, socializing with the girls or learning the technique.

Best day

So Im always wanting to freeze my kids at certain ages, definitely am thinking six. It started with Trav taking the kids to get donuts, (not even sprinkles) and Xander said, "this is the best day of my life". Wow, all it takes is donuts. A few more shots to sum up the "best day of his life".

fishing, and we didn't even catch any

riding bikes (no training wheels!)

reading a book on his own, without being forced, (notice the title).
I couldn't help but think of the George Strait song,

Dad, this could be the best day of my life.
I've been dreamin' day and night about the fun we'll have.
Just me and you doin' what I've always wanted to.
I'm the luckiest boy alive,
this is the best day of my life.

Happy 1st Birthday Jack!

I can't believe its been a year since your mommy called me and said, "Either I peed my pants or my water broke". I told her she probably peed her pants, she called me back an hour later and said, "Okay, I keep peeing my pants". Sure enough. you came later that evening.

Sass & Frass

I purchased this belt today for Xander's teacher gift, she is always stylish and I thought this was fun. My friend started a little Sass & frass business and sells the cutest belts, head bands and other accessories with fabulous fabric. I have never worn belts, but I think I will have to start.

Field day favorites

I LOVE FIELD DAY, it was always my favorite, and I always competed for the first place ribbons. So a few things have changed, no more ribbons! What is that? Everybody is a winner, in Xander's case is a good thing b/c he placed 4th out of 4 in the 100 yd dash. They have added a few stations as well, who can kick the shoe the farthest,

toss the chicken in the crate

the hula relay

Great form, no speed, he only has room to improve right?

Team Cheeto Power

class pic

lunch break

I volunteered to go to the zoo with Xander's class and of course took my two younger babes, not knowing I would be in charge of 4 kindergarteners on my own for 4 hours. Mrs.Kulbiski must have given me the good group, b/c they were little gems. We named our group cheeto power, and they would gain and lose power depending on their behavior. I am so going to homeschool next year, sad to miss out on these events daily.

Preschool picnic

Bust out the kleenex, we had Roe's last day of preschool today at the park and said goodbye to two fabulous teachers Mrs.Grogan and Mrs.Bahner. Bless them for having such patience with my independent unruly preschool princess.

Booze

In honor of nurses week, I thought I might discuss our most recent favorite word. For Jude, we are in operation walk and wean mode and failing miserably at both. He now says, "Booze" and dives in. I used to feed him once or twice a day, but now he is becoming more dependant or obsessed. So I am thinking, he is 13 months it is time to cut him off, but seriously a few minutes of "booze" and he is drunken with happiness, in addition its free, a great way to burn cals, and after watching Kelly & Regis today I learned it boosts the IQ 6 points. Im not looking forward to engorgement and cooking cabbage leaves again, but please stop me if I have the preschooler who is still latching on. BTW, he is sucking his thumb in pic above.

Dance Journey

Roe's dance recital was on Sunday and she was amazing, I was so proud of her. I was ecstatic that she was first b/c I have never been so nervous, seriously she is 4. I may need some counseling, when she is older and there is more than 4 steps in the routine. Sidenote, I was sad I couldn't fit everyone in with my camcorder, so if anyone got everyone, I would love to see or make a copy? Roe is on the far end, all the girls were completely adorable!

Farm fun

Monroe goes to preschool 2 days a week and I feel like 80% time its a field trip. Today we visited Mrs.Hinkel's farm, this was right up Roe's ally, complete with getting dirty, riding horses, petting cats, holding chickens and throwing rocks.

After the farm we hit the koolaid stand to help support Taryns make a wish to go to Disney World.
