8th Grade Promotion

We are officially the parents of a going to be high schooler, yikes!
Grandpa & Grandma Say were lucky enough to make it to both graduations for our kids in one day!

We were more than blessed with Angie as his math teacher, home room teacher and second mom at school!

A fun surprise, Xander was one of 6 boys who was nominated for the Citizenship Award at AMS, he was cheering for Gabriel who won it! Angie assured us her team doesn't vote for kids because there are too many good ones, proud parents and Aunt:)

6th Grade Transition

My zoom lens didn't work out so well for group pictures but this is a pretty fun little group that spends most recessed playing co-ed volleyball, they are going to miss recess for sure!

sweet friends

not sure how much longer she will ask me to braid her hair so we busted out a pinterest braid wrap for transition, when you have tie dye shirts to wear you have to spice it up a little:)

Monroe got chosen to share her Life Skills Essay, she was so nervous she forgot to eat breakfast and lunch:(, I'm happy she didn't pass out.

a little Lean & Dab by 6th graders to wrap up the transition, you could tell this was their favorite part!

Preschools Out Party!

The neighbors who are also Kingston's best friends had a party for the end of the year, a cute little crew I love to find out who he has been talking about all year long. For being 5, he is quite the social one, always letting me know who is sitting by who at lunch, who broke up and who lied on the playground, we could be in trouble..

he spent most of his time in the mowed maze

We will miss a lot of these friends this summer!

Putting our money where their mouth is..

Monroe and Xander both got braces this last week, Xander was eating noodles and mashed potatoes for a week and Roe was popping popcorn the next day. As you can see for her, not getting braces was not an option. This is round 2 for her, the phase 1 palate expander did not expand enough, hoping there are no more phases:) A sweet summer vacation or braces? Xander said he would rather have the vaca;)

Fit 6

At Fit 6 (all 6th grade field day) we go to meet up with the future class of 2022 for field day, pretty awesome! Best part was I got to go along as the school nurse for Ogden:)

Long jumping Monroe with our own 6th grade teacher Mr. Farwell who we are losing to Rock Creek:(

I think Roe was way more excited about racing than the rest of her group.

cute future sevies at the K State baseball game, I don't think they watched a minute of the game truthfully

Mother's Day

first try on getting a pic and Kingston tooted on me:(

I think God has blessed me with some pretty amazing kids because he knows I need all the help I can get, thankful for his grace every day

by far the hardest, most guilt-ridden, favorite job ever, I love being a mom!

8th Grade Dance

The 8th grade dance this year was a beach theme, it was great! I think several more boys went knowing they could dress more casual, still very dressy for my kid who wears dri-fit daily.

super NOT excited to take a picture with his mama who he is taller than now

Tysen, Blake and Xander, neighbors and besties who spend entirely too much time together but that is what friends are for right?

Xander said he had more fun than he thought he would so I was happy about that.

Marlatt Color Trot

Super fun and perfect day for the Marlatt Color Trot, loved this active colorful way to raise A LOT of money for our school that a few parents worked super hard for. The kids and teachers both seemed to have a blast!

the girls running with their teacher Miss Potter

ymCa!

the dance party on the black top was just as fun for the kids

Mrs.Downs and Miss Smith are looking a little purple

Mrs.Liebe pacing Roe:)

Teachers doing a little whip Na Na action

So thankful we did this awesome event while our 6th graders are still there for a few more short weeks...

Jude and friends

Im probably a little running biased but this was probably my favorite Marlatt event next to the now outlawed Halloween parade:)
