Meet Season Finale State Photos

some relaxed faces of relief following the meet
;

Monroe had an awesome cheering section so thankful for family and friends who will come watch a 3+ hour meet to watch her compete less than 5 minutes, that is some loyalty. (Although I am not sure how many routines the boys actually watched;)
Nice to have the meet so close in Wamego, the awards & meet was a bit of a cluster, but worth it to be able to take all these little friends along! Wesley, Avery, Grayson, Monroe & Kennady

So fun to have Kennady come with us, we miss her! A flashback from 4 years ago, they look like babies. Roe, Kennady & Paige above, & with Jeryka below.
Pary burb, love model Wesley in this pic, or actually every picture...
Aves made it a late night with Monroe staying for the next session to watch, even carried her flowers. We got lost on the way out and laughed a lot.
the boys cheering section with a big poster sized Roe head, thanks to Aunt Tia, good thing she is cute.
Thankful for this group of girls

Kenzie made my life so much easier, can she come live with me please?
Roe with crazy hair & green teeth, we got to stay and watch Georgia compete, we thought she was the best:)

I can only imagine what Ericka is telling Jazmine

An awesome season but excited for new music, new skills & new routines!

Pink Ribbon & State 2014 preview

I didn't mean to combine Pink Ribbon & State but was too lazy to separate them. More state pics to come b/c it is kind of a big deal. Roe fell twice at pink ribbon, which is out of character for her, but came back strong and placed 4th all around. I was so proud of her, so important to teach your kids to fail b/c they will so much. She didn't not shed a tear or feel sorry for herself, she is maturing so much.
Jeryka is so amazing with these girls, (I don't think I have mentioned before;) her investment and example will go way beyond the gym, WE LOVE HER!!
She designed these awesome "fight like a girl" shirts for pink ribbon, thanks for showing us how to do that Jeryka:) Celebrating stable scans from Houston a couple weeks ago!
Spirit week at the gym for state, this was Rockstar Roe
& 80's day this week & gym

They had a word of the week this season where they had to make a journal entry and find a quote on each word. I love this, it goes way beyond their success at meets, but character traits that will help them in every aspect of life.
Roe loved doing the words and was sad with the last entry, she decorated the burb for the meet with them.

Hands Free

I have been wanting to read this for awhile, and started over the weekend. Now that I have a tween, and a 3 yr old that loves the ipad, I am trying to be more conscientious of my own tech use. Im not a facebooker, tv watcher, or list maker, but I have a lot of room for growth in the hands free department. In keeping with my simplify in 2014, I think these challenges will help me become more aware & hopefully more connected in relationships.

Because everybody needs to watch this:)

I stole this video off my sisters blog because my niece is the cutest thing ever, I may be a little biased, and I LOVE THIS video.

Nadia Comaneci Invitational; Perfect 10

We went to Oklahoma City a couple weeks ago for the Nadia Comaneci Invitational, a quick but super fun trip! Our future life guard beachin it over the hot tub had to save King after he went under in the hot tub.

We got to watch the college girls compete on Friday night, so much awesome gymnastics there.
Nadia handed a few of the awards, pretty sure none of these girls know who she is, but she is kind of a big deal:)
The boys entertained themselves around the Cox arena while we attended the college meet.
I love how these girls cheer for each other, they make a great trio, keep up the good work!
Such a fun downtown area and warm, yay for 60 degrees!
lots of fun stuff for my boys to do at the meet this time.
celebrated at pinkitzel cupcakes after

Our hotel was a host of the meet, it connected to the cox center & had complimentary limo service that I think was my kids highlight.
Enjoying some cupcakes on the ride home
King loves to make up his own routines during the meet using Xander as his beam.

Hoops there it is!

Jude is enjoying basketball this year, I love watching this age group play, they are so cute!

I think both Jude & Xander's team didn't have coaches in the beginning. Its hard to sign up to be a coach with 3 kids in activities, I really see how more than one wife or husband would be convenient;)

He loves having Jason on the team we missed him this weekend for sure!

Xander was on the Grizzlies this year, he played hard & well each game. What I love about Parks & Rec is meeting different boys & families he will meet up with again in middle to high school.
 best group pic I got

Hard to watch the fouls & traveling not get called, the beauty of city league. Then again, I love getting to every game in 6 minutes:)
