Confident

A friend of mine told me once that girls that grow up with just brothers are more confident and I think she may be right. Monroe informs me today, yeah mom Im really good at a lot of things, but when Im older I won't be able to do everything, I will have to choose. Where did she get that from, I asked my hubby thinking maybe he told her that, nope. I am having a hard time being her cheerleader and at the same time informing her she is not going to make too many friends, or any in kindergarten if she carries on the arrogance she displays at home. I guess I should build her up, lets face it girls are mean, and Im sure her confidence will be crushed in school aplenty.

more Sass

Just bought this cute reversible headband/handkerchief thing for Monroe, one of Sass & Frasses newest items. Figure it will be a lifesaver when her dad has to do her hair in the am of kindergarten, perfect way to hide unruly bedhead.

Slider

Some of my favorite softball practices were when we practiced sliding/diving catches. Xander and I had a little clinic in the backyard and he loved it as well catching 3 for 3 with his sister videotaping.

These little girls lived up to their team name this summer, seeing how I think 75%were too young to be play.

Slime time

Mindi, our director of childrens ministry at church sent me these pics from last Sunday. The kids, including Jude had so much fun getting dumped on by this green pudding slime mixture, Jude was sucking on his toes on the way home. Xander and Monroe informed me that you have to BE PREPARED, "You never know when your going to get slimed" just like "you never know when Jesus will come back".

Happy Birthday Granny!

My Granny turned 83 on the 14th! Found this pic of us girls with her 7 years ago having a spa day before Tia wed. Some things I admire and wish I had gotten from Granny is her amazing garden growing, german chocolate cake making, meticulous house cleaning, hip square dancing, awesome card playing chic.
