Snuggles

I was quite impressed when I came home from a meeting and Travis was reading to the kids in bed. Not that he was reading, but that he had them in one bed, he might be learning to multi-task. Anyhow, I have been blessed with some cuddly kids, this becomes difficult when you want to sleep alone.

Daddy Duty

Nothing compares to a little playtime with daddy, especially when lightsabers are involved.

I miss this kid

You would think that I would love this all-day kindergarten thing, but I miss him. Secretly, I would love to spy on him at recess but I haven't gone this far, probably soon though.

A wildcat weekend

We started the weekend off at Purple Power Play on Poyntz, a yearly rally before the first home game. The kids enjoyed the fireworks, as you can see above, I enjoyed watching their faces.

We got up Saturday am and headed to the dog and pet parade. We met our friends Kirk and Tierra there and watched Blake (their daughter) and Grandma Marsha walk their pony "Bud". This was by far the highlight!

On Saturday we tailgated with the Palmgrens who were kind enough to invite us to celebrate Turkey Butt's 60th, Happy B-day Rex! Trav & Xander ended up getting tickets and Roe, Jude and I headed to the Miller's tailgate to partake in some MORE food, the best part of football games.

Kindergarten art

I was excited to find a drawing in Xander's backpack that I thought maybe was a family pic. When I asked him about it he said, "This is a circle robot, this is an oval robot, this is a square robot, and this is a diamond robot". Maybe the family pic will come next week?

Another kitchen catastrophe

Why do I not love to cook? Let me count the ways. I blame it on my mom. She actually is a VERY good cook, but hates the messes. I feel the same. I hate the preparation and cleaning up of the mess. This however is a picture of neither. This is what happend when I was putting groceries away, I opened the fridge door and out came the condiments. Seriously, have you ever seen a top fly off a tube of rolls, it was quite comical. This is clearly why I need to stay out of the kitchen and continue eating out every meal.

Tiny Dancer

Roe has been so excited to start ballet, I was a little nervous because she was really looking forward to having a snack (like at ballet camp), even without the snack our first day was pretty successful, she hasn't been booted out yet.

Roe practices "starting the pony" daily, here is a pic of the dancers getting ready to start the pony.

She got some serious air at one point, the practicing must be paying off.

Sharon Washington assisting Monroe with her ballet shoes. Mrs.Washington taught "mama" (this is what she has been calling me) dance when I was little. Jenny Washington also assists, we are so lucky to have great teachers and great friends in our class.
