Beat the Heat

With temps over 100, we were glad to have the weekend off of baseball, difficult to be outside unless water was involved...

Prayers for Jeryka

Please lift Coach Jeryka up in your prayers, she has just undergone surgery for a rare and aggressive bladder cancer and will start chemo soon, we love you Jeryka! Not too many people I trust to let Monroe spend 12 hours a week with, no pressure but we need you back soon!!

Lucky 13

We celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary on Tuesday. I read that the anniversary gift for 13 years is lace. Trav helped 10 year olds pitch & I cheered on  an 8 year old softball game, not too much lace involved, unless you count the laces on cleats?

Anyone seen this orange and white volleyball, tears were shed because it was nowhere to be found when we left,
and Kenzie gave it to her when she was 3, gasp, and "it was her favorite"!! Kenz if you are reading, she "spiked it overhand over the net"!! so she says….. (think she meant serve)

Thanks to a 4 hour rain delay on Saturday we spent the morning at the cosmosphere, Trav and I got a good laugh over how much the kids new more than us, not particularly our kids.

They are not only good ball players, they are respectful kids, love it. 

What a great way to spend Father's day, watching my hubby and I's favorite summer sport. Ranger's took first in Hutchinson, won 3 back to back today, way to work boys!! This is Xander's first championship win, think he will be excited about this one for awhile.

Oh Brother

These two crack me up, if only I could keep them just driving the gator around the backyard forever. As much energy and work it is while they are young there is a peace about having some control over them.  Jude and his accessories….  he is regularly sporting a necklace, these beauties, silly bands or his fedora hat, love.

Kannon Jett

My girlfriend brought Kannon over to visit, 7 weeks today, isn't he so adorable? I got to be her delivery nurse for all three of her cute boys, what a blessing!

My sister was named the winner of the Presidential Excellence Award in Math, Mrs.Miller is heading to Washington D.C.!! I am just surprised she has chosen her husband and not her photographer/ sister to go along!

Bring on Summer Camp

 The kids love summer camp at our church, you don't exactly shower or dress in your Sundays best. Today they enjoyed some mashed potato & tomato food fight fun, thank you Mindi for your investment in our kids.  They love learning about Gods love through food fights, or Monroe told me it was about how you can't take back the ugly stuff that comes out of your mouth, shoot maybe I needed to join in!          

Garage Fail

 It probably doesn't help that my kids shop the garage sales like Jude who found a great deal on silly bands he needed to go up his arm.

The Guess jean dress sported by Dedra might still be available? Only she could make this  cute.

The lawnmower could have went for high dollar, lots of fighting over this one, not for sale this year...

We decided to join the neighborhood garage sale this weekend & the kids had been a little pumped up to go through toys and random items to try and raise money towards the ipad they have been wanting. 

Sidenote:  Brainnooks & roblox have been a hit around here.

Our side of the street was a little scarce so of the people who did visit we didn't do too bad, but still nowhere close to an ipad. I probably shouldn't have set a goal or their hopes so high, but a good lesson. It was nice to go through some things, clear the clutter a little, would I recommend hosting one? Nope,  not worth the friday and saturday away from other fun ways you could be spending some family time or worth the time spent prepping.

2nd place in Salina

These boys, wow, played the best I have seen them play all season. On Saturday they run ruled a team that had previously been undefeated. After 2 wins Saturday, they started at 8am Sunday won 2 more games and made it to the championship game. They were up in the 4th inning by 4 runs versing the Topeka Mud Cats, a triple A team. They played their hearts out and went into extra innings losing by 3, no reason to feel defeated, they played so great, good job Rangers!
