High Five!
When expecting our third, I remember wondering how you could love a third baby as much as you love the first two, having already had a boy and a girl. After delivering this guy, yep no problem, it is amazing how your heart grows, my Judeman is 5 today!
My dear friend Jeanne came through with the best monster cupcakes ever!! for his party planned two days ago, for tomorrow :), the loveliness of having a job and 3 children with birthdays the same week.
Trav took him out to the farm and he caught 8 fish, hard to see because they are a little camoflauged, the toy superman poles do work!!
Jude would have been completely content having his 5 minute "preschool birthday" party, he is pretty easy to please. He can have moments of intensity but is pretty laid back and reminding me a lot of his oldest brother, who he admires.

Great to be 8!
8 years!! I thought for sure we were having another boy, (Roman name of choice at the time) but were pleasantly surprised with a 7 pound 4 oz, baby girl born on the stormy night of her due date.
Not sure how we have a smiling picture, because Im pretty sure she screamed her first 6 months of life, good thing she was cute.
made an 8 out of cupcake holders and paper plates, ran out of 1 kind of cupcake holders but still worked
Tried out the cake pops for Roe's class, after all the issues people seemed to have making them, I was hesitant. I put the sticks in and then stuck them in the freezer for 20 minutes before we dipped them, not too bad.

Happy Campers
I was a little concerned about having a campout since it didn't stop raining all week, until Friday, finally Mr.Golden sun, just in time for Xander's birthday.
Thanks to my mom for making an ice cream oreo cake, a little hard to read in pic but spells out Camp Xan with chocolate rocks- didn't know these existed, kind of fun. The boys thought it was pretty fun to eat the rocks and find hidden gummy worms inside the cake (gross).
Divided the boys (and a couple girls) into 2 teams and conquered the state streets with a birthday scavenger hunt.
HIt up Mrs.Anderson's house for an old sock and a picture of a dog
Toughest items to find for team green, a 1999 penny and a fruit loop (cereal)- still finished just a few minutes before team blue.
Thanks to the Henry's for supplying the tent that the boys slept in ALL night, couldn't believe it, worn out by smores, scavenger & treasure hunt, burgers & brats, ice cream cake & flashlight tag maybe?
Asleep by 1130 & this pic was at 740am (I had to sneak in a pic of bed head) This was a great group of boys, you wouldn't know they were from 4 different elementary schools, they got along fabulous.
Trav and Jude slept in a smaller tent next to them, Jude was thrilled.

Perfect 10
Happy 10th Birthday Xander!
I can't believe it has been a decade already.
I have to say 10 years ago has to be the one of the best days of my life. We got induced with Xander on our due date and after just breaking my water he was born within a few hours. I had been a labor nurse for a couple years already, so I hesitated to be induced and figured it would be a very long day. Not so much, it was the hardest, very intense, but the most empowering experience of my life and I fell in love, again with my husband as a dad and great coach and my sweet baby boy!
A little lookback at Xanders moves as a toddler, who continues to crack us up daily, we love you Mr. Double Digits!

2 mi fun run & not so fun run 10k
Before race runners pic, (Grandma Susie didn't run)
Xan got a stomach ache before the run (my nervous one), Roe was pretty sure she was going to finish in the top 5 (my confident one), Cole was adamant about beating Roe (the competitive one)
Cole runs like a gazelle so gracefully, beat Roe by more than 30 seconds, finished 6th in his age group
Xan cut 2 minutes off his time from last year finishing in 19 minutes with Trav & Tia, the motivators
the cute award Matt & Madeline finishing in a tutu
Roe finished 1st in the girls 9 & under age group, finishing in less than 17 minutes, conditioning must be paying off!
10 k was a little brutal, we ran with cookie monster the first 2 miles, think we ended up beating him but not too many others, we walked a lot towards the end & Grampy passed right by us by mile 5!

Irish eyes are squinting...
A little glimpse of the St.Patty's day parade through aggieville, very interesting. I love Jude's face although his squinting may be related to the fact that he got a referral for his eyes with astigmatism and hyperopia. I guess its good that he can't read yet because the closest adult mother (behind Roe) to them, had a tank on that said lucky b*tch, who wears that?
How we all felt about having the road race and parade behind us.
