Pooping Pumpkin

After Jude's pumpkin rotted and started pooping down the porch, we decided we should carve the rest.
Monroe drew a gymnast on hers, she didn't like any of the pre-made pattern options.
Xander and Jude shared a pumpkin and went with yoda, probably won't last too long, but fortunately Halloween is only a couple days away.

Who ya gonna call?

(only pic I got from the parade this year, baby yoda in arm and husband lost?)
the kids painted these jars a couple weeks ago,
the ghostbuster may have some business, they look pretty ghostly when lit!

Kingstons 1st BALLoon Birthday Bash!

My sweet baby boy is ONE!!!
Last year at this time we were carving pumpkins at 9:oo at night when mommys water broke, only appropriate to spend your first birthday at the little munchkin pumpkin patch with your siblings, pics to follow later…
You have the "one" finger down already :), or we could call it pointing
You woke up trembling to a room full of balloons! Your one and only big gift from your parents, you love and have plenty of balls, so balloons or balls that could float, went over well.

Your sibs decided to join you in your crib.
Primary mode of transportation on all fours.

You have the cutest crooked smile that we love.
A rocker from Grandma and Grandpa Say
Celebrating with your fav mac n cheese, siblings and close by cousins.

You are the icing on our cake Kingston, we LOVE you!

nerd + bum = force?

1 costume borrowed and 2 homemade = a pretty cheap Halloween.
Trav took the kiddos to their first trick or treat fest at the club, the ghostbuster did not come in, so Xander was absolutely fine being a bum. Monroe has been wanting to be a nerd the last 6 months and Jude, Darth Vader of course, thanks for the costume Heather!

Football footage

Xander is playing flag football again this year, in lieu of pictures I captured this great video of him diving for a flag and missing. The next play he actually got the flag, but of course didn't get that one on video. You can hear my coaching from the sidelines, I am so oblivious when it comes to football.

Name of the week

Hard to see, but I (Angie actually) found this in her US weekly magazine, Xander was the name of the week. I was a tinge excited, my name infatuation. I added it to his baby book, nice to know it took 9 1/2 yrs to become name of the week.

Fall treats

Pumpkin Rice Krispies Treats
We made these easy little pumpkins for Jude's preschool pumpkin patch snack, pretty easy and the kids loved unrolling the tootsie rolls and making the jack o lantern faces.

Just for Kicks

At 4 and a half, Jude was enrolled in his first sport this Fall. If playing by himself, as pictured above, he will kick the ball back in forth into the goals staying very focused and appearing to get the object of the game.

Bring other players in and that is where the problem arises. The ball is no longer the focus, his strategy is more lets distract the other players by acting like a complete goofball, he no longer cares where the ball even is.

His favorite is when he gets to be the red team so he can pull the jersey over his face.
As you can see, the player from the other team is clearly distracted, perhaps this may work. He also ran into the goal several times, without the ball and would catch his feet or hair in the net, also having a ball, too bad not with the soccer ball.
I attempted to not say anything to him, the very long 30 minute game, that lasted about 2 seconds. Travis pictured above patiently offering some redirection.
On a positive note, I think we only have room for improvement here.
