In Good Company...

So the hubs are golfing and we 4 moms and 12.5 children get together for some pizza and playtime. Xander took a fall on his bike with us moms watching, 3 of us nurses and 1 a physician. Within the hour he had 3 stitches and a couple steri strips, looks like his summer swimming days are over and I am feeling blessed I am not still in the ED waiting room.

My sunglasses that I have left at 49 different places finally saw their end today in Strudels mouth.
He also ate part of our volunteer form for kidslife at church, do we turn this in, you can totally trust us with your children.

Prom 1999

Trav and I went to "prom" last night for a girl at works 30th birthday, I will have to put up a group pic when I get one. Great music, fun and dancing. Funny that Trav and I were actually married in 1999, which is when Tracy went to her senior prom. Salmans came through with one of her dresses and dyable matching shoes.

nope, just Xander, these kids nails grow like a pregnant woman, how embarrassing! I was mortified when I saw these, good thing he is not in piano right now.

the littles

I left my babes while i went for all night shopping outing with a few friends, Trav managed well with the littles. King only woke up twice in the night to eat:), the older two went for sleepovers. Thinking I may need to take advantage more often.

Peak 8 or Freak 8

Monroe and Jude took advantage of the pony rides aboard flip flop and tank.

Panning for gold

My favorite was the coaster through the mountains, it was super fun, fast and no flipping off.
We rode the Gondola up to the Peak 8 fun park and got a day pass, I had a panic attack on the alpine slides b/c a dad and kid derailed before us, which I hear happens often I guess. I also pulled my fam out of line when a big black cloud covered the mountain, thinking rain = no braking.

Good Grub

My mom makes the BEST burritos that she bust out on our first night, Henry even told her it was the best burrito he ever had:)

Then she proceeded to come down with the stomach flu the whole stinkin trip!! On the bright side she didn't gain an extra 5 to 10 like the rest of us and could fit into her sassy jeans.

Shades & sweatshirts

Pretty much the motto in Breck, sweatshirts and shades are a must. Dear cute black hat, I will miss you, didn't make it home with you.

Lily Pad Lakes Hike

Roe enjoyed the balance beams made out of fallen logs across muddy little streams along the way.




One of the highlights of our trip was our hike up to Lily Pad Lakes. We trekked it up through several trees that we thought were coming down on us at various points, I decided it is not good to read warning signs anymore, b/c they give me anxiety. Jude was such a trooper hiking all the way 3 miles round trip, with several falls along the way. Preston was a trooper as well with Stella on his back and James on his shoulders. At the top was the lake full of lily pads, no Tad spottings, but it was still gorgeous!

Loveland Pass

With the help of Preston navigation Trav took the kids up to Loveland Pass to sled down the mountain, pretty crazy to sled in August, they loved it.

The view outside our cabin is gorgeous, we have a little stream and rock pathway, the kids of course enjoy the view from the hot tub.
