Bummer summer

After a girlfriend mentioned having our girls do a book club, I thought the idea was great. Of course then I couldn't find the book she mentioned and since Borders is going out of business there was slim pickings there too. Roe picked out the Judy Moody and not so Bummer summer to read instead. Well now that it has finished she is ready to see the movie, which I found out is no longer in the theaters. Probably should have checked on that sooner, bummer that the bummer summer movie is not in theaters and not coming out on DVD anytime soon.

Feast for a King

We are bypassing the baby foods and going straight to table foods, that is what happens when you don't start until 9 months, time to start bathing daily.

Never would have guessed those teensy weensy little pieces were mac n cheese and fresh rasberries to start with

No Fair!

I really tried to avoid the fair the heat, the teenage crowd this year but Monroe got to go to a sleepover so we packed our boys up at 9:15 for the last hour of the fair Monday night.

My niece is 14 today! I can't believe how time has flown. I was awoke at the wee hours in the morning when my sister went into labor with her (lived with them at the time). She has and still is my kiddos bestest friends and we love her, good luck with V ball this weekend!

9 months

Kingston is 9 months! 4 teeth (2 of which are fangs), LOVES the pool, takes no interest in a pacifier, thumb or blankie, claps, waves bye bye and does SO big.

Don't ya love these?! Unlike most people, I love flowers!! They make my week better when I have them in my house, so I was thrilled when these were delivered on Monday from Acme gift, another one of my favorite fun stores. I thought maybe they were from my hub since he was out with boys, (not our boys) in Denver for the weekend. Nope, they were from a sweet couple that had come over to check out our windows last week, so unexpected yet so loved, thank you sweet family!

Who says flowers don't last forever? They do when a certain 7 year old loves to draw, I had another bouquet waiting in art form, thanks Roe Belle!

Kids Life Summer Camp… Crazy crocodiles & Orange crush

Baseball, basketball, VBS, Golf, Tennis are a few of the camps the kiddos have attended this summer, think their fav is Kids Life every week they get to have at church. They have had food fights with mashed potatoes and spaghetti, slid through baked beans and chocolate syrup and rolled in oatmeal while learning about Jesus. Trav and I helped this last week and the kiddos were involved in lots of water play with this weeks theme being Jesus is the living water, thirsting for him. As long as they aren't dressed in their Sundays best all is good.
