While my husband was away at a mens church retreat, I had my own retreat at home with a great back massage thanks to my kids feet. Having them walk on my back is a win/win, free and they find it entertaining as well.

so we took a day trip to the Omaha Zoo and I didn't get a lot of animal photos but it was AMAZING!! The kid loved the skyscape, imax theatre, the batcave and the penguins.

Outnumbered

Xander on his first and last day of school with Mrs.Quintanar. I pray that we will see this amazing teacher again, warm, patient, kind, a true treasure!

Preschool Picnic

Monroe had her very last day of preschool on Friday with these two awesome gals whom I tried to recruit to come co-teach Kindergarten next year. They are completely warm fuzzy, animated, positive energy, sense of humor, always smiling, and deserve a raise Susie if you read my blog. ha ha!

In exchange for hugs you recieved your scrapbook, it was so stinkin cute Jude had to get in on the hug action. (he didn't get a scrapbook). After going through the pages I think I found Monroe holding or wearing at least 10 different critters throughout the year, never told me about the snake Roe!

Picnic at the park

headed to the park with Xander's class today for a picnic, it was the perfect day. How cute are these heartbreakers who posed themselves, Xander has some really great kids in his class.

I felt completely content with my 3 little bodies on the blanket today having a picnic. Xander chose to sit with his siblings rather than the rest of his class, so laid back, not caring what anyone else thinks of him. I so long for them to be close growing up and when they are grown up as well, we shall see...

Wheezer

4 days ago we were in the Ped's office for Xander's 7th year well child exam. He was 48.5 inches and 52 pounds, 62% ht and 40% for wt. So much for my well child last week. This week,you would have thought Xander started smoking.He was short of breath trying to read to me Monday night. After a breathing treatment we had some airflow and got some wheezing as a result. I've decided he is way too social to be homeschooled after the past couple of days with me.

Rockin recital

After a little stage fright during the rehearsal, these little "friends" did soooo awesome! I will post the dance and more pics tomorrow for the padres in Chi town who couldn't make it, as you can see the flowers were beautiful, thanks mom!

She seriously did this as we left, perfect picture of how relieved she was that she wouldn't have to practice anymore! (Actually, she was telling me "Mom, I don't want it to be my last time!")

Prince Xander

Xander had international week this week at school and informed me he could dress up on Friday. We had a Prince Caspian costume so he went as a Prince from England (we went back in time a bit as well). So when I picked him up from school I asked him what other countries his friends dressed up from and he told me he was the only one in the whole school who dressed up, oops not sure it was a dress up day afterall.
