Family Pictures Take 1 & 2

JP braved the cold windy weather last Sat morning and came out to the farm to get some family pics while Aimee and Randy were in town. What a task, she did awesome. She actually got some great ones with everyone looking and smiling, but the above picture has to be my favorite. All of the adults but one is not looking at the camera, cracks me up.

We got out great great grandpas rusted out stationary bike and the kiddos did great, thank you Jen!

I'm Thankful

Thanksgiving at the Farm

for this guy, my best eater who had a complete meltdown by the end of the night and was rolling around on the floor because his d he wrote for his name on his cup didn't look good.
for Kingston, who yes does eat solids, mashed of course! He had taters coming out of his ears.
for my oldest, most laid back silly Xman, love those grassed stained knees
my girl that was up past midnight coughing last night
spending time with the Massey cousins

the kids would say the four wheeler rides from Grandpa

Gobbler Grind 1/2 Marathon

I loved being with these two for their first 1/2 marathons, they kicked some turkey booty finishing in under 2 hours, way to rock it Barb and Cortney!
Pre-race party pic, temperature 27 degrees, feels like 21, frigid!
action shot by Xander, seeing the kiddos and hub at the finish was the sweetest.
after pic, still frigid. Starbucks and hot shower here we come!

Mad Science

The kiddos spent much of the weekend preparing their science fair projects. Xander and Brady went with shaking lego towers while Monroe chose a little art demo, fitting for both.

2nd Annual Marlatt Sock Hop

Last year King and I missed the sock hop, so we were excited to attend this year, cutest school party idea ever, complete with root beer floats. Thanks to my really amazing over achieving friends who can plan these great parties for our kids, super time. Most importantly heard lots of canned food and money raised while these kiddos, siblings and PARENTS had a great time, going back to the 50's. Wish I had gotten some more pics.

Game Over & Game On

Soccer and football have ended and the Gymnastics competitions will start up.

I struggle with the balance and "hyperparenting" when it comes to kids activities, as long as they love it and want to go, I will let them and keep them active. Monroe is super excited about competing level 5 this year and has been practicing her new routines.

Xander has shown a little more intensity this last flag football season. Guy pictured above deserves much credit, is an AMAZING coach and puts so much effort and investment in these kiddos. Don't think Xander ever got a flag last season and never missed a flag at a game this year, good job Bengals!
